1Accepting these terms
By adding Lunar to a server, using its commands, or signing in to the dashboard, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you are adding Lunar to a server, you confirm you are allowed to add bots to it. If you do not agree, do not use Lunar.
2What Lunar is
Lunar ("Lunar", "we", "us") is a Discord bot and web dashboard operated by Krislyz. It may also operate on other community platforms in the future. Lunar runs on Discord, so your use of Discord is also governed by Discord's terms, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord.
Krislyz is an independent developer who builds and runs Lunar, reachable on the web at krislyz.com, on GitHub at github.com/krislyz, and on Discord as @krislyz.
3Who can use it
You must meet Discord's minimum age for your country and follow Discord's own terms. Lunar is currently in a closed alpha, so signing in to the dashboard is limited to approved accounts until it opens more widely. Server administrators decide whether to add Lunar to a server, and are responsible for using its features in line with these terms and Discord's.
4Closed alpha and availability
Lunar is in closed alpha. That means it is still being built: features may be added, changed, paused, or removed, things may break, and we do not promise any particular uptime, availability, or that data will never be lost. We may limit, pause, or shut down all or part of the service. Use Lunar with that in mind, and do not rely on it as the only place important data lives.
5Your license to use Lunar
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to interact with the running Lunar service inside servers and platforms where it has been authorized, for as long as these terms are met. That is all this permission covers. It gives you no rights to Lunar's source code, design, or other underlying materials, which are proprietary. You may not copy, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, resell, sub-license, or self-host Lunar or its code, in whole or in part.
6Acceptable use
When using Lunar, you agree not to:
- use it to break the law, or to break Discord's terms or any platform's rules;
- abuse, overload, probe, or attack the service, or try to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to it or its data;
- reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or otherwise try to extract Lunar's code or underlying materials;
- resell, redistribute, or operate Lunar as a service for others without our written permission;
- use Lunar, its responses, or any data it provides to train, fine-tune, or evaluate AI or machine-learning models;
- use Lunar to harass, harm, deceive, or infringe the rights of others.
Some of these actions are not just a breach of these terms but may also be offences under applicable law, including Israel's Computers Law.
Good-faith security research that follows our Security page is welcome, and is treated as authorized under that page rather than as a breach of this section.
7Your content and settings
You and your server are responsible for the configuration and content you give Lunar to work with: rule text, welcome and announcement messages, gif links, and anything else you set or ask Lunar to post or act on. You confirm you have the right to use that content, and that it does not break the law or any platform's rules. You grant us the permission needed to store and process that content for the sole purpose of providing the features you enabled. We may remove content or settings that violate these terms.
8Intellectual property
Lunar, including its source code, design, branding, and other materials, is the proprietary property of Krislyz, all rights reserved, and is provided to you only as a service under the limited permission above. The software is governed by a separate proprietary license. Platform names and trademarks referenced by Lunar, including Discord and Fluxer, belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the systems Lunar works with; this does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.
9Paid plans
Lunar is free for everyone during closed alpha. Paid plans are planned for later, around when Lunar opens to the public, and would unlock extra features rather than the core. If and when paid plans launch, their full terms, the total price including any tax, and your cancellation rights will be shown to you before you are charged, and those terms will follow the consumer-protection law that applies to you, including in Israel. Nothing here obliges you to pay anything while Lunar is in closed alpha.
10Disclaimer of warranties
Lunar is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that Lunar will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any data will be preserved.
11Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Krislyz will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use Lunar, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.
12Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access to Lunar at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including if you break these terms. You can stop using Lunar at any time, and a server admin can remove Lunar from a server whenever they choose. Removing Lunar stops its features in that server; see the Privacy Policy for how stored data is handled afterward and how to request its deletion.
13Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising under or relating to these terms or to Lunar is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Israel.
14Changes
While Lunar is in closed alpha, we may change these terms at any time without prior notice, and the updated version applies from the date it is posted. Once Lunar leaves closed alpha, we will give notice of material changes in advance. Continuing to use Lunar after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
