Lunar is in closed alpha. That means a small number of servers can use it right now while I sort out the rough edges. It is not open to everyone yet, and it stays free for the whole alpha. So if you are reading this, you got here early.
The short version: Lunar is one bot that tries to cover the jobs a server would normally need several bots for, and you run it from a web dashboard instead of memorising chat commands. I build it on my own, mostly in the open. That is why the roadmap is public and why I bother writing these posts.
What is in the dashboard
The systems taking shape right now are leveling, notifications, automod, moderation with per-member infractions, appeals, logs, access control, and analytics, plus a handful of fun commands. Some are further along than others, and a couple are still being tested. That is what this phase is for.
If you want an honest picture of where each piece actually is, the roadmap is the place to look. I keep it current as things move.
What is next
Near-term, the moderation and automod side needs to get solid. After that come self-serve roles, conditional roles that revoke themselves when a member loses the role they hang off, and tickets. Further out there is a games and economy layer, music, and an AI you can talk to by mentioning Lunar. The roadmap lays all of that out.
Free while we grow
Everything is free during closed alpha. Paid plans come later, around when Lunar opens to the public, and they will cover extras rather than the basics. I would rather Lunar be something a server can lean on without paying just to unlock the core of it.
If you want to follow along, updates land on the roadmap and here on the blog. And if your server wants in while it is still early, you can add Lunar from any page on the site.
